Wilfrida's Closet™ was inspired by ornaments, jewelry, and other exquisite treasures I found in my mother's closet. My mother, Wilfrida, had a wondrous appreciation for beautiful things. Her love is a great part of me that I share in each of my cards.

Each card is brushed, cut and assembled by hand with loving attention and detail. The inside of every card is left blank to provide limitless possibilities of pairings with the timeless gesture of a handwritten thought for any occasion or sentiment you choose.

My appreciation for vintage things, photography, collage and my travels inspire the images on my cards. All cards are garnished with my love for things bright and shiny. My deepest affections come through in my work, including my Bernese Mountain Dog, Emma, who has graciously modeled for me.

I've categorized the cards so that you can easily navigate your way around the website. My hope is that the images may personally ignite your heart in a way that makes you want to pass it on for any reason or occasion, no matter its assigned category. In fact, you may connect to an image so much that you don't want to give it away! Should you want to display a card or gift it for its artistic value, you can order it framed.

The recipe for how to use my cards is a simple one: open your heart to connection, find what moves you and pass it on to someone else. You don't have to wait for a mark on your calendar to find a reason to send someone a kind thought.
